LOL yeah....Star..uh huh. It also prints every week that Angelina Jolie is pregnant, or Brad it or something...best not to believe that. Jennifer Aniston...YIKES...

After wasting over an hour of my time watching The Bounty Hunter over the weekend, I would agree YIKES! Butler I could deal with as Mitch. Aniston as Anna? Ick

Good luck GOPDude!

Thanks Kstewart - I'm just glad its only a 2 week trip and not 2 months or longer.  My bro is in Afghanistan right now - coming home in October - says things are really bad over there right now and wishes the ROEs would be scaled back to allow our guys to do what is necessary to kick some arse.  I say the ROEs should be simple - if an individual has a weapon on their person (regardless if shouldered), that individual can be engaged as the enemy and destroyed or captured as deemed appropriate to safety to the person, unit or larger element.

God bless our troops!!!!!!!

Hey GOPDude--don't think I ever saw you post and I have been around awhile--
good luck over in Iraq and hope all goes well for your brother--my opinion is that if we are going to have a War we should let the Generals run it not the civilian politicals--after all as Rush says the army is supposed to break things and kill people--no more Viet Nams--we should give them hell and get out.

Fgomike posts like yours make my heart go pitty pat-- don't tell anyone but I would love  smitten smitten   to see Gerard Butler as Mitch Rapp--Aniston as Anna no way.   uglystupid2 uglystupid2

I'd never say no to John Hamm.....sighhhhhhhhhhhhh
Anyway...

GOPdude thats what my husband says. He was in theater in Afghanistan for a few months not too long ago. I also wish the ROE's were loosened. We have a lot of kids over there right now ourselves so we think of them everyday. You need anything let us know. Same for your bro.

Hey good to see you GOPDude.  Hope all is well. Smiley

Hey there Muldoon - all is well - I've moved from California to Chicago and got married along the way!  haha  Can't complain - have my health, have a job and enjoying life as best as possible with friends and family in Afghanistan.  Heading to Iraq for 2 weeks next month - can't say I'm looking forward to it, but should be less interesting than the last trip over.

Hope all is well with you

Good to hear and congrats on the marriage!  I myself was married a little over a year ago Smiley

Stay safe my friend!

Safe trip GOPDude.
ROE, implemented I assume by Gen. McChrystal, how they let this kind of man lead  our troops?, is just an extension of how the progressive moment within our gov't and military has endangered the most highly skilled, highly trained force in the world. If they don't want to let them fight, then bring them home.
Go troops.

Anyone see the cover the Parade magazine in the Sunday paper today? John Hamm... Boy howdy, he's got the Mitch Rapp look on that cover shot.  I know he isn't on this list but he sure should be.

After seeing the photos in W, John Hamm really comes to mind for Rapp. He's a busy boy with Mad Men but he does still have time off to shot a movie. I wish the powers that be would consider him.
